Every few years comes along a player that breaks all the rules of the game. From Brooklyn NY, GERONIMO “SAINT JAMES” CHIEF is that player, and DANCEHALL Reggae music is his game. Backed by HIGH GRADE MUSIC, WESNYLE PRODUCTIONS and SOUNDWAVE ENTERTAINMENT, CHIEF recorded his very first track “HOUSEHOLD NAME” and independently distributed. The song created a buzz leading to the release of the 18 track mixtape”THE BROOKLYN KID” which featured songs like “DANCING TIME, S.O.S and I WANT YOUR BODY. I WANT YOUR BODY was a instant smash hit opening many doors for yung chief. GERONIMO CHIEF holds his weight and is soon to be one of the top ten dancehall reggae talents in the world.
Wasting no time GERONIMO CHIEF gets back in the studio and records his second mix tape entitled R*N*F (Reggae New Face) which once again contain over 10 hit songs including, Unforgettable, Hot Gal Over Nite & Forever. Also included on the mix tape is the controversial hidden track KILL BOX were CHIEF expresses his view on a few of dancehall’s biggest artist including Beenie Man and Elephant Man. When this cd got to the streets, people began to talk. The word began to spread that GERONIMO CHIEF aka the Brooklyn kid, reggae’s new face is the next biggest name in reggae music.

Having no major record deal GERONIMO CHIEF wesnyle records and soundwave entertainment established a respectable name in Brooklyn. Chief appeared on over 50 soundwave Television shows broaden his base. He began to collaborate with various hip hop artist thru out the state of New York City with resulted in a new blend of reggae flow that has never been promoted mainstream. He called it “rap with an accent”. This quickly drew the attention of many hip hop, r and b artist and producers who wanted to work with this talent because of his crossover appeal.

After releasing the dancehall “RNF” mixtape which consisted of 26 dancehall riddims where Chief added his flavor, Soundwave/Wesnyle decided to introduce a project with all original material. This project was called “2 WEEKS NOTICE” and became the turning point from Chief being locally known dancehall artist to much more..

Presently, with the release of his 2010 LP “SAINT JAMES the return”, CHIEF hopes to independently thru www.geronimochief.com distribute thousands of copies of his music without any major label support.
